Do’s and don’ts to avoid contracting HIV/AIDS
1) Do not use contaminated sharp instruments for shaving, ear piercing.
2) Avoid unprotected and unsafe sex.
3) Always use sterile equipments.
4) Avoid pregnancy if you have AIDS.
5) Do not indulge in intravenous drug abuse.
6) Ensure that you are not receiving contaminated blood.
World AID Day is observed on 1st December since 1988.
To remain free of AIDS need to remember and understand the following points:-
1) Open, frank communication about risky or safe sexual behaviour will go a long way in preventing AIDS and other sexually transmitted diseases (STDs),
2) Use of Condoms is imperative to prevent AIDS besides helping in family planning.
3) Knowledge of contracting AIDS through contaminated needles and syringes.
