The Institute of Insurance and Risk Management (IIRM) is an international education and research organization. The Institute was set up jointly by the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority (IRDA) of India and the State Government of Andhra Pradesh, in 2002 for promotion of International Post Graduate Diploma Courses in Insurance / Risk Management(Regular and Distance learning).
IIRM aims to serve the learning and developmental needs of emerging markets in the context of their contemporary challenges in Insurance sector.
Distance Learning Courses
The following Courses are offered under distance mode
(i) International Post Graduate Diploma in Life Insurance(IPGDLI)
(ii) International Post Graduate Diploma in General Insurance(IPGDGI)
(iii) International Post Graduate Diploma in Risk Management (IPGDRM)
Duration : of each of the above three Courses is one year – Two Semesters, each of about 16 weeks duration.
Eligibility:(i) Employed professionals with minimum Graduate Degree in any discipline (including Engg and Management) from a recognised university/Institute with at least 50% marks. Candidates with professional qualifications like CA, ICWAI, CS are also eligible.
(ii) Self employed Graduates of any discipline (with minimum 50% marks) and aged 30 years and above may also be considered for admission
(iii) Employment is an essential criteria for admission. Employed candidates will be considered only if their applications are forwarded by their Employers.
