Govt. of India started Jawahar Navoday Vidyalaya in the year 1986 in 27 states and 7
Union Territories for under privileged and deserving boys and girls. There are nearly
551 schools all over India. The students per school are selected through entrance test.

Rashtriya Indian Military College Dehradun Conducts entrance test for admission to
Class VIII in the month of June for boys only.
Delhi government started Rajkiya Pratibha Vikas Vidyalayas (RPVV) in the year 1997
with 3 schools. Now there are 19 RPVV’s running successfully in Delhi. RPVV cater to
the students who are studying in government/cantonment school for the last two
consecutive years. They have to clear an entrance test for admission to RPVV in Classes
VI & IX.
